By I have not been the greatest blogger as of late and what’s funny is, when I look at my history of blogging, this is the time of year that my posts fall off dramatically. I can’t speak for previous years but I’m going to go ahead and say that this year, I just feel like nothing interesting has really been going on.
Granted, Halloween Horror Nights has started and I definitely have some updates about that. I’m just super tired all the damn time right now and feel like I have nothing interesting to say.
This is also the time of year I start to get busy. The school year has begun so I’m starting to get back on the road to speak at schools, Halloween Horror Nights is happening, and I’m still bartending and waiting tables.
Surprisingly, none of what is going on is very interesting.
I went through a really bad bout of insomnia and then ended up sick as a damn dog, yet still couldn’t sleep which helped nothing at all. It wasn’t pretty or worthy of writing about.
I promise, none of you wanted details.
And now it’s just all about working.
I’m working seven days a week between now and November.
The trick is getting in to the flow of this schedule, which I haven’t been able to do yet. Today is a rare day off because there is a park buy-out at Universal and therefore no Halloween Horror Nights. (I’ll note that I’m writing this on Thursday but it’s being posted on Friday just because of timing.)
Rather than getting things done, I ended up sleeping all day. My body just wasn’t having it, and despite having alarms set and several attempts to get out of bed, I didn’t really wake up and get the day started until 5pm. Even then I still didn’t have the energy to do anything.
I’m sitting down and writing this at 11pm.
And then I’m likely going to sleep.
I am exciting to say that I have a work trip coming up and it’s taking me home to Boston. I’ll likely be crashing with my sister so I’ll get to see her. From there I won’t have much time for anything else. I’m hoping to stop and see my Aquarium family though. Even if it’s for just a little bit.
So with that all said, I’m going to quit this post while I’m ahead.
I promise that as we move into October I’ll have more to say and give my updates on Halloween Horror Nights and everything else spooky.
For now, I think I’m going to watch some TV until I pass out.
