Life: Unplugged (For the Week)

I guess it’s a staycation? I don’t know how these things work.

The long of the short of it is this: I’m stepping away from life for the next week.

I have taken the week off from all jobs and responsibilities. No serving, no touring, no blogging: nothing.

This is either going to be the smartest thing I’ve ever done or the most pointless. We’ll find out in seven days.

To explain.

I have decided to give myself a do or die week. I want to take a step back and really take the time to evaluate everywhere I am in life right now and focus on what I’d like to accomplish moving forward. A big chunk of this week is going to be putting a real effort into finishing my book.

This book has been a labor of love for almost a decade and I know I can get it done and this week is my chance to do that.

I will finish this damn book.

I also wanted to be able to take a step back from life and kind of clear my mind of things. Last week was obviously not the best for me mentally and I want to take stock in that and figure out how to take care of myself moving forward.

So it’s time to unplug. No social media. No work. No theme parks (this one will be hard!)

I’ll be honest I will still be checking and replying to emails because I do want to be able to pay bills. I have appointments to go to this week and, hell, I’m on vacation, I’m gonna have a little fun! (Read: I’m gonna go see Power Rangers)

I am also looking into some other fun new projects that will hopefully see some life in the coming months! A video series. New brand rep opportunities. The works!

So I guess this is my completely pointless post telling everyone that I will be social media silent for the week and hopefully at the end of it all I’ll have something to show for it.

See ya on the other side!

Peace out social media! (Until next week)
